Design & Development for a Leading U.S. Real Estate Company

Keller Williams, the largest real estate franchise in the world by agent count, partnered with us to accelerate their digital transformation through data-driven, AI-powered solutions. Our journey with Keller Williams began modestly—designing a feature for one of their platforms—but has since grown into a robust collaboration involving a 50+ member team supporting multiple strategic initiatives.

Keller Williams employs over 170,000 agents globally and was named one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies” in 2019. Their tech-forward evolution began in 2015 when they set out to reimagine themselves as a technology company, investing in proprietary platforms, cloud infrastructure, and AI capabilities. This led to the creation of KW Labs, their in-house innovation hub modeled after the R&D culture of tech giants like Google and Amazon.

To maintain a competitive edge, Keller Williams launched some of the industry's most groundbreaking tools, such as:

• Command: A comprehensive AI-powered CRM tailored for real estate professionals. By late 2019, it had over 100,000 active users and housed more than 40 million client contacts.
   
• Kelle: An AI-based virtual assistant dubbed the “Siri of real estate,” with over 85,000 active users.
   
• KW Consumer App: An intuitive, transparent platform for buying and selling homes, launched in beta in 2019.
   

These tools exemplify Keller Williams' commitment to using data and technology to empower agents and enhance the client experience.

With Keller Williams scaling rapidly, design consistency across multiple platforms became a priority. We partnered with their internal design team to create a comprehensive Design System from the ground up, including UI libraries, style guides, and reusable components to streamline product development.

We contributed significantly to Command, enhancing its interface and functionality while also participating in its roadmap planning. We also supported the redesign of the Kelle app, optimizing usability and user experience.

Our engineering team has worked across Keller Williams’ digital ecosystem—including Command, Keller Covered, and Keller Mortgage—leveraging technologies such as React Native, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and Go.

Currently, our teams support five different KW projects, delivering front-end, back-end, and mobile development solutions. For example, we’re building a new version of Kelle, translating key features like Referrals, Contacts, Tasks, and Sales Pipeline from the desktop Command platform into mobile-friendly functionality.

We’re also involved in Keller Covered, an independent initiative that offers a free insurance comparison service for homeowners and buyers.

Keller Williams is heavily investing in artificial intelligence to drive its platforms. 

We’ve assisted their internal teams with data engineering projects to make better use of their vast historical real estate data. This includes initiatives like mapping data into their new listing system and enabling deep-match search, which prioritizes user preferences over traditional filters.

Agents now benefit from predictive tools—such as offer optimization estimates—while consumers enjoy a smarter, more intuitive home search experience.
